QR code to enable energy-efficiency labeling for Appliances
A refrigerator, the information about the energy efficiency, power consumption and how to recycle can be displayed on the phone. In the retail industry energy-saving consumption Week, the new energy-saving identification was officially opened. About 1719 kinds of products had been labeled the new logo.
“compared to the old energy-saving identification, the new major increases a two-dimensional code area. Consumers can clearly understand the model appliances’description, energy level, sales maintenance, recycling, consumer protection, and so on by scanning code via the phone.”Said Aixian Li, the China National Institute of Standardization chief engineer.
Currently, addition to the range hood, stove and other new entrants to identify energy-efficient appliances need to be forced to use the new logo, the other are not mandatory.
