Now more and more school system begin to use the barcode scanenr to improve the management level.
For example: In this year more than 600 high school students from over 30 public, parochial and private schools in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes are expected to attend the College and career fair sponsored by McNeese State University, the Calcasieu Parish School Board and the Calcasieu School Counselors Association.
Students can go online to input their personal information, special interests and extracurricular activities to share with colleges and universities of their choosing. After submitting the information, students can then print out a registration barcode and bring it with them to the fair.
College representatives will have a barcode scanner to get students' information, which will save them from having to fill out cards at each table.
